Foraging and Medicine Making: Discover the Hidden World of Native Plants

$80.00

I have spent the last 16 years making medicine and learning about the native plants that grow around me, especially in my office in Washington Park. When I'm not hiking in the woods and teaching archery one of my other favorite things to do is learn about, forage for, and use native plants for food and medicine.

Is This Experience For You?

Are you curious about:

- The fascinating world of plant life?

- Taking your first steps into the vast realm of plant-based medicine?

- Identifying the diverse flora that thrives around you throughout the seasons?

- Learning the art of ethical and mindful foraging?

- Creating your own natural remedies from foraged ingredients?

If any of these pique your interest, join me for an enlightening journey into the world of native plants!

What to Expect:

Our adventure unfolds as a leisurely, mindful stroll through the picturesque Washington Park. Along the way, we'll:

- Pause to examine and learn about seasonal plants

- Collect small samples for closer study

- Demystify the basics of plant identification and uses

Key Takeaways:

1. Gain foundational knowledge in plant medicine and learn to identify common Northwest flora

2. Forge a deeper connection with nature through exploration and mindful harvesting

3. Depart with a personal "medicine bag" containing ingredients for herbal tea or medicinal oil.

4. Develop the confidence to begin your journey in foraging and medicine-making.

What's Included:

- A compact harvesting bag for your found treasures

- A handy guide detailing local plants and their uses

Important Notes:

- No prior experience or special equipment needed

I respectfully acknowledge that my work takes place on the traditional lands of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, and other Indigenous peoples who have been stewards of this region for millennia.

As I guide others in connecting with nature, I honor the enduring relationship between these lands and the Native communities who have lived here since time immemorial. I say thank you with everything I do.
