I won’t go into my time at the protests in downtown Portland except to say don’t believe what the media is saying- that Portland was in and is in chaos
that crime went up
that downtown is burning
That is not the case! What I witnessed was a beautiful collage of every kind of person under the sun all walks of life from every nook and cranny dancing, singing, drumming, chanting, marching together to bring attention to the brutality and inequalities of power. That same power that is being us to tear gas, rubber bullets, flash bombs with no restraint against normal people simply shining a light on injustice. Injustice is something we all need to fight for with every fiber of our being with everything we have. So fight like your very life depends on it.
